The Taut-Wire system uses a unique technology to protect the perimeter of sensitive sites utilising an integral processor which monitors the post mounted sensor units which are arranged to provide zoned areas.

Taut Wire Each sensor converts mechanical forces into electrical signals which are analysed to identify a state of change in the fencing. Attempts at climbing, spreading or cutting the fence will immediately alert security staff via computer software or intruder alarm panel.

The Taut-Wire system offers unprecedented detection resolution and tampering attempts can be pinpointed to specific post and taut wire identification numbers.

Unique Sensor Technology

The unique component of the Taut-Wire detection system is it's sensing device. The sensor post contains an electronic processor unit which converts analogue signals creating a unique and reliable address to confirm an intrusion point.

Sensor close up The processing unit also has a system of transmitters and receivers, which permit digital communication with any standard control panel or PC running the software control package. The micro controller computes any change in the sensing device such as during an intrusion an alarm signal will be generated.

The sensor has no electrical contacts or other moving parts to degrade and does not rely on movement to create an alarm condition. The high sensitivity strain gauges and special design of the steel sensor produce an electrical signal when the preset limit is exceeded generating an alarm.
The sensitivity of each sensor can be individually adjusted and monitored by the control software.

The system has a single sensor detection resolution, unlike some existing systems which require signals from multiple sensors before creating an alarm.

The stainless steel sensors have a very wide dynamic range, and exhibit constant sensitivity, eliminating the need for balancing the sensor during scheduled maintenance operations. The system is controlled using open architecture software and a standard PC can be utilised.

Taut-Wire is installed in a large number of sites around the world covering sensitive areas such as Airports, Military Sites, Industrial Plants, Government facilities and other areas having significant strategic importance. With a practically zero false alarm rate, The Taut-Wire system operates equally well in all weather conditions and can be easily and quickly deployed on site and can be retro-fitted to existing walls and fencing to provide enhanced protection.

Can easily be integrated with other security systems including Decorative Electronic fencing, CCTV, Lighting and Sirens to provide a visual and audible response to the intrusion. Security personnel on external patrol can be alerted via SMS message with the location of the attack position for a timely response.
